Y11 HW Due Thursday 28th November - BBC Research

Homework needs to be completed by all students, even if you were absent from the lesson. You will generally have a week to complete it, which is plenty of time to come and see/e-mail me for help if it is needed.
  1. Research and explain the basic ethos of the BBC (Television).
  2. Write down what you think the BBC wants and what it hopes to achieve with its programmes.
  3. Using your internet research skills complete the BBC Timeline worksheet
}
  • Hint: All this information will be on the BBC website
The more in depth your research, the easier revision will be when it comes to the mock and real exam. Lunchtime detentions for anyone who does not have this homework in their book for me to see on the due date. Let's get off to a good start!

Remember, if you haven't completed your music industry controlled assessment you need to attend after school sessions on Thursdays. Please e-mail me any outstanding work.

Thank you.

Y10 HW - Early Advertising

Due dates:
10B - Monday 18th November
10D - Tuesday 19th November

For the advertising unit it is important to know a brief history as we will be looking at representation of women through the decades.

Task

1. Using this link - Early Advertising - read the content and note down at least two important points from EACH section. Look out for names and key dates.
2. Think about the ways in which advertising has changed/evolved due to technology. This independent thinking is to be added to the end of your timeline.
3. With this information, create a timeline using either Time Toast or Prezi.
4. Add images or videos to make your time line come to life!

Make sure you have ALL completed last weeks homework, even if you were absent from the lesson. This half term is a fresh start. Stick to deadlines = no detention :)

You're welcome to do more than one advert for each medium if you're keen!
