Y11 TV Comedy revision

For question 2 - audience pleasures - you need to ensure you get examples from two or more episodes for each show.

Never Mind the Buzzcocks has its own YouTube channel and you can watch the last four episodes of The Big Bang Theory on E4 (4OD) as well as multiple repeats everyday on TV.

Happy revising!

  1. Are you pleased with your completed advert? What elements do you think are strongest?

  3. Create a table showing the strengths and weaknesses of your advert.
  4. How have you chosen to represent women? Is this similar to representations of women you have studied in modern adverts?
  5. What advertising conventions does your advert use? Does it use them effectively?
  6. What selling techniques does your advert use? Why did you use them? How do they help your product appeal to your target audience?
  7. Think about where your advert would be seen. What women’s magazines would you find it in? Research women’s magazines – select three you think are the most appropriate and explain why. If it is on a billboard, what type of location would it be in? Why?

The more thought you put into it now the easier it will be in controlled conditions. Remember, it will be on Monday 19th May period 1 and 2.
