10D HW Psychographic profile and questionnaire

Due Tuesday 4th March

Task 1: Complete your pyschographic profile. 

  • Get a women who fits your target audience to check it to make sure it seems realistic. 


Task 2: Complete your questionnaire




  • Remember to focus on a particular type of drink (e.g sports, coffee, soft).
  • You are attempting to find out how your target audience will want women to be represented and what they are looking for in a new drink.
  • Include a question about advertising appeals and also how your target audience would like to see women represented within print advertising. 
  • Ask a minimum of 10 questions.

Y11 HW Scheduling

Due Thursday 27th February.

Task 1

Use this schedule to complete task 1 and 2 - schedule

Compare the difference in programming on BBC2 and E4 after the watershed (post 9pm).
What do you notice about the types of programmes shown?
Compare the programmes shown at the following times (or roughly around this time):
a) 9pm
b) 10pm
c) 11.30pm
d) 1am

For each write down what the programme being shown reveals about who's watching at the time. Who is the target audience?

Task 2

Pick out all the TV comedy programming from the BBC2 and E4 schedules. Analyse your findings using the following criteria:

a) How many hours of comedy programming was shown by each channel?
b) What type of comedy programmes were they?
c) What time were they broadcast?

Task 3

From the class activity  below, compare your answer to the exemplar. How could your improve your response?

1. Explain why you think the show is scheduled on that particular channel.
2..Explain why you think it is scheduled on that day and time?

Y11 HW - Watershed

}Use your internet research skills to find out information on ‘watershed’ in the UK. Use the Ofcom website to help you. 
}Answers need to be in FULL SENTENCES in your book.

1.What does ‘watershed’ mean?
2.In the UK, what time does it start? Does it differ depending on the channel?
3.Does it apply to BBC2 and E4? Why?
4.What type of content would make a programme fall into the watershed category?
5.Give some examples of TV comedy programmes which would have to be aired after the watershed.
